Front Office Assistant/Attendance Liaison


The front office assistant/Attendance liaison assistants the Front Office manager in attendance duties and acts as a liaison between staff and Parents/Guardians regarding attendance issues. They also assist with general clerical duties, such as organization, filing, and answering the phone.

This position is under the supervision of the Dean of Students and the Office Manager.


20 hours per week
4 hours per day (with some flexibility)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Help with attendance- absences/tardies
  • Act as Liaison between Staff (Dean, Teachers, Social Workers) and Parents/Guardians regarding attendance issues
  • Issue tardy passes to students
  • Answer the front office phone
  • Greet visitors and assist them with signing in/out
  • Assist with parents checking students in/out
  • Inventory (school supplies and office supplies)
  • Assist with textbook inventory
  • Help to maintain student folders and health records
  • Receive, distribute and sort incoming mail
  • Assist with Student Lottery/Registration
  • Other office duties as directed by the Dean or Office Manager

Preferred Skills:

  • Intermediate computer skills, including MS office, Google Docs and PowerSchool preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Good communication skills written and oral
  • Confidentiality
