This is an interdisciplinary course in Science, Humanities, and Art that is open to all students who are up for some intellectual heavy lifting. This course will explore the connections between reason and intuition through the creative processes of writing, drawing, meditation, and dialogue. Students enrolled in this course will be expected to read and analyze text and film then respond to it using art, poetry, and Socratic seminars. There will be some assigned readings to be done outside of class. In addition there will be time devoted each week to meditation, which means practicing mindfulness in a quiet setting for at least 10 minutes.
