Newspaper
Newspaper at ABHS brings a group of students together to not only share their perspective on Amy Biehl life but also, learn about the skills needed to make and publish a quality paper. Each year, Newspaper Enrichment welcomes community members from a variety of press organizations to teach them about different aspects of the Newspater.
Last year, we had several guest reports from the ABQ Journal who taught different forms of writing. Charlie Moore, editor of the city desk, came and talked about writing, revising, and developing a story. Dan Mayfield, a staff writer, came and talked about writing feature stories and music/film reviews. In addition, photographer Roberto Rosales, shared his work, talked about his craft, and about jobs in his field.
All of the students contribute an article or creative piece for the paper. The Amy Biehl paper is published quarterly.
