Project Week

Project week brings students together with a community mentor around a shared interest. Students will gain skills in communication, work with outside mentors and begin to understand the needs of their community. Some of our service partners are Keshet Dance Co., United Blood Services, Project Linus, National Hispanic Cultural Center Dia de los Muertos, Roadrunner Food Bank, Ronald McDonald House, Rio Grande Community Farm, and NM Forum for Youth in Community.

Students dance, create music, play sports and engage in community initiatives.  This is a time for our students to expand their learning and thinking while working closely with adults from the community.

Project Week occurs at the beginning of the 2nd and 4th quarters.  The current Project Week is October 20-23 from 9:00 - 11:30 am.

If you are interested in hosting a Project Week, contact Tina Garcia-Shams at tgshams@abhs.k12.nm.us.
